About the project

◉ In 2019/2020, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 lockdown, I embarked on a project to capture the views, feelings, and hopes of people of all ages and diverse cultures. As I reflected on my own experiences during this period, I felt compelled to express my thoughts and emotions through a new medium. I decided to challenge my usual way of thinking and the creative process by improvising music with the aim of creating freely and spontaneously.

◉ Despite my lack of experience in music, I found the process of learning and creating to be both fun and interesting. Through this process, I was able to produce four albums: Love Is The Secret, Illegal Migrant, Tribal Soul, and Memórias do Vento. Each album represents a unique expression of my experiences and emotions during this challenging time.

◉ To complement my music, I also painted a series of images during the Covid19 lockdown using a specific medium and technique as part of the "My 2020 Lockdown project". The resulting images are included in this book, offering a visual representation of my experiences and emotions during this period.

In general, this project was a deeply personal and transformative experience for me. It allowed me to explore and express my thoughts and emotions in new and unexpected ways, and I hope that it will resonate with others who have gone through similar experiences.

Facing The Challenge of Improvisation

Exploring the Mind and Soul in challenging times.

• One of "My 2020 Lockdown Project" challenges is to improvise sounds with the intention of exploring my creativity and the speed of thinking and connecting thoughts and emotions in a logistical, rhythmic, and balanced way.

• I am fascinated by having the courage to start something in a discipline that I had no experience or even knowledge of.
  The result surpasses any reward, not only on a personal but also on a professional level.
